The forgotten art of Light Roasting
Many roasters prefer to roast the coffee beans on the dark side. The roasting of coffee beans is a very difficult progress and we are still learning more about it every day. Different beans from different origins need their own roasting profile so it not so easy to say that roasting on the dark side is always the best method. Dark roasting reduces the level of caffeine in the coffee beans and light roasting doesn’t reduce the size of the coffee bean as much. It is subjective to personal preference and therefore there is no right or wrong, right?
Light roasting, medium roasting and dark roasting each have their own advantages and this article will tell you a little more about the light roasting method.
